Rainbow River New York City, Gay Pride Parade Painting Print, LGBTQ Pride Art
Rainbow River New York City, Gay Pride LGBTQ+ Parade Painting Print.
Rainbow River on 2nd Avenue New York City - commemorates the Stonewall 25 celebrations and the one time unfurling of the mile long Rainbow Flag. Too Large to be rolled back up this was the only time to witness the sheer size of the event and milestone in the LGBTQ community.
In 1993 I went to New York City specifically to see the unfurling of the mile long rainbow flag during gay pride week and also to the Gay Games being held in New York City at the time. This painting means a lot to many people who attended the special event. It often makes me feel wonderful when people jump up and down and point to the abstract crowd in the painting and say I was right there. - RD Riccoboni
